Southern Flinders Instructor - Sempai Phill Hunt
A Karate Dojo in simple terms is a training hall where the art of Karate is taught. Although this is the case it is much more than that. Dojo in Japanese literally means "the place of the way". TSKFA Karate Dojos have a set of rules or standards of behaviour that are adhered to. These rules of respect, humility and custom are taught to and expected of all students.
TSKFA Karate Dojo Kun
The Dojo Kun is a set of five guiding principles that are recited by students at the end of each training session. They are the core ethics to which all TSKFA Karate-ka should strive.
Hitotsu! jinkaku kansei ni tsutomuru koto! - Seek perfection of character
Hitotsu, makoto no michi o mamoru koto! - Be faithful
Hitotsu, doryōku no seichin o yashinau koto! - Endeavour
Hitotsu, reigi o omonzuru koto! - Respect others
Hitotsu, kekki no yū o imashimuru koto! - Refrain from violent behaviour
